Earlier this week, Alabama earned a spot in the top five for 4-star wide receiver Somourian Wingo — and now, the Crimson Tide is once again in the mix for another major 2026 prospect.
Per Hayes Fawcett of On3, 4-star linebacker Brayden Rouse revealed his final four schools on Wednesday, naming Alabama alongside Tennessee, Texas, and Michigan. Rouse is scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa on May 30, followed by trips to Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia.
According to On3’s Industry Rankings, Rouse is ranked No. 96 nationally and is the sixth-best linebacker in the 2026 class. At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, he brings a versatile skill set that allows him to contribute across multiple positions on the field.
In 2024, Rouse showcased his two-way talent for the Kell Longhorns — playing linebacker, safety, edge rusher, wide receiver, and tight end. He wrapped up the season with 111 tackles, 3.5 sacks, an interception, and nearly 400 receiving yards with eight touchdowns. While he’s projected to play defense at the college level, his offensive experience adds valuable insight to his game.
Currently, Alabama holds five commitments in its 2026 recruiting class and has a busy schedule ahead with visits from several other top-tier prospects this spring and summer.
