After spending two and a half seasons with Newcastle, the 33-year-old defender is looking for greener pastures.

For Newcastle’s first three Premier League games of the new season, Trippier will be benched and Tino Livramento will start in his place.

In the Magpies’ Carabao Cup second round victory over Nottingham Forest, the right-back did start for the team.

Livramento replaced him in the England team, and he recently declared his retirement from international competition.

Trippier would play in Europe this season if he joined Fenerbahce or Besiktas, as both teams have qualified for the Europa League.

Trippier would be under Mourinho’s management for the first time if he moved to Fenerbahce, the Turkish powerhouse.

Additionally, the dynamic French winger Allan Saint-Maximin, who joined the team on a season-long loan from Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli, would reunite with the right-back.

Besiktas are led by former Rangers boss Giovani van Bronckhorst and finished sixth in the Turkish Super Lig last season.

The former Tottenham defender was also linked with a move to fellow Premier League side Everton, but it failed to materialise.
