Christian Wood, an American basketball player, is a prospective draft pick for the Los Angeles Lakers…
Christian Wood is not a guard, but rather a forward/center.
He has appeared for many NBA clubs, including the Philadelphia , Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Houston Rockets.
As of my last report, he is not a prospective Lakers draft pick because he has been in the league since 2015 and is ineligible for the draft.
However, he may be dealt to the Lakers or sign with them as a free agent in the future.
Wood was undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, but he impressed in the NBA G League, earning a roster position with the Philadelphia 76ers.
He has subsequently grown into a good NBA player noted for his scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking skills.
During the 2019-2020 NBA season, Wood had a breakout year with the Detroit Pistons, averaging 13.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 56.7% from the field and 38.6% from three.
His success drew the attention of numerous clubs throughout the league, and he signed with the Houston Rockets in the 2020 summer.
Wood continued to dazzle with the Rockets, averaging a career-high 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in 2020–2021.
His ability to score both inside and outside, as well as his quickness and defensive prowess, make him an important player in today’s NBA.
While Wood is unlikely to be drafted by the Lakers, his skill set and potential make him a future target for the team, either through trade or free agency, as they attempt to enhance their squad and challenge for an NBA championship.
