The Las Vegas Raiders will play a second-place schedule in 2024, following an 8-9 season in 2023, when they narrowly missed the playoffs despite a strong finish following the sacking of former head coach Josh McDaniels.
While a second-place schedule appears to signal that things may not be too difficult for Las Vegas, this is not the case when it comes to their 2024 calendar of games.
According to Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis, who estimated strength of schedules based on Vegas oddsmakers’ predicted 2024 win totals, the Raiders have the NFL’s ninth-hardest schedule.
Only one club in the AFC West has a tougher schedule, with the Denver Broncos ranking ninth in the league. The Los Angeles Chargers have the second-easiest schedule, while the Kansas City Chiefs have the 12th-easiest slate.
Among AFC teams, the Raiders have the eighth-most challenging schedule.
The Raiders’ 2024 opponents have been determined since the end of the season, but we don’t know in what sequence they’ll meet them. According to reports, the 2024 schedules could be revealed on Thursday, May 9, however the league has not verified this date.
As a reminder, here are the Raiders’ opponents this season:
