The Georgia Bulldogs have added four-star offensive lineman Mason Short to their 2025 recruiting class, beating out Clemson, Ohio State, and Kentucky.

According to the 247 sports composite rankings, Short is the eighth-best interior lineman, the 25th-best player in Georgia, and the 183rd overall in the class. He has down his choices to Georgia, Kentucky, Clemson, and Ohio State.

He just visited Clemson over the weekend of March 14th, but was also on campus at Georgia a few days later, according to Shorts’ social media. Short initially committed to Alabama in April of last year, but then decommitted after learning of Nick Saban’s retirement. The Crimson Tide were not among Short’s top four colleges. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart also paid a visit to Short’s high school on the day he decommitted from Alabama.

Stacy Searels, the offensive line coach, helped the program acquire a very strong class at the position in 2024. Short, who plays football at Evans High School in Evans, Georgia, will be an excellent addition to the class.
