Carson Wentz, former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, has found a new home.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed Wentz to a one-year contract.
The Eagles selected Wentz, 31, with the second overall choice in the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent six seasons with the Eagles until losing his starting role to Jalen Hurts and was moved to the Indianapolis Colts in 2021.

After one mediocre season in Indianapolis, the Colts assigned Wentz to the Washington Commanders, where he was benched for Taylor Heinicke and dismissed after the 2022 season.

His most recent stop was with the Los Angeles Rams, where he signed in Week 10 last season. He started Los Angeles’ regular-season finale against the San Francisco 49ers, completing 17 of 24 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. He gained 56 yards and scored a touchdown on the run.

So far in eight NFL seasons, Wentz has completed 62.7% of his throws for 22,292 yards, 153 touchdowns, and 67 interceptions.

He joins a tenacious Chiefs club that will be vying for their third Super Bowl title and will back up Patrick Mahomes.
