Cincinnati — Former Ravens running back JK Dobbins will visit the Chiefs on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

According to Schefter, the former Ohio State standout “is expected to have a home very soon” after visiting the Chargers last week.
Dobbins is recovering from a torn Achilles and has suffered several ailments in recent seasons. He averaged six yards per run in 2020 and definitely has the potential to be effective when healthy.

If the Chiefs sign Dobbins, it might indicate that former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire will sign elsewhere.

It is not surprising that the Bengals would look into Edwards-Helaire, especially if they do not add a running back early in the 2024 NFL Draft.

D.J. Reader arrives in Detroit with confidence, despite the bittersweet emotions he left behind.

After leading a four-year comeback with Cincinnati that included two torn quads and a Super Bowl berth, the defensive tackle may not have always wanted to depart, but he can look back with pride.

“It’s super tough, but things happen in free agency, and whether it’s upstairs going in a different direction or, you know, I did get injured a couple of times there,” Reader said of his Bengals departure Monday on The Jim Rome Show. “They may view it one way, but I see it differently. Who is to say who is correct. I will always believe that I am correct, and they will believe that they are correct. It was difficult to leave something you created, but there is consolation in knowing that I left it in a better state than I found it. So I had to find comfort in that aspect.”
