According to Wildcat Wave’s Wyatt Huff and Kentucky Kernel’s Tyler Russell, Kentucky has contacted Virginia Tech transfer Sean Pedulla.
Pedulla, a 3-star recruit in the 2021 class, has played three seasons in Blacksburg, the last two as a full-time starter.
This season, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Pedulla averaged 16.4 points on 42.4% shooting from the field (32.5% on threes), along with 4.6 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
Pedulla, a native of Oklahoma, has already made one prediction for the Sooners on 247 Sports. It’s uncertain how interested Kentucky is, given that DJ Wagner, Reed Sheppard, and/or Justin Edwards may contemplate returning next year. That might put Kentucky in a holding pattern for a few weeks.
However, if John Calipari and his team want to go all-in to bring an experienced guard out of the portal as soon as possible, Pedulla is definitely one of the top players to emerge.
Here are some highlights of Pedulla’s performance with the Hokies.
We know Kentucky Basketball is considering Virginia Tech guard Tyler Nickel.
Another Hokies player is apparently attracting interest from the Cats.
