Wests Tigers young gun Lachlan Galvin and Dolphins lock Max Plath have been suspended for two games after pleading guilty to hip drop tackles.

Galvin will miss games against the Dolphins in Round 5 and the Dragons in Round 6 after entering an early guilty plea to a Grade 3 Contrary Conduct charge for the tackle on Eels forward Kelma Tuilagi.

Pllath, meanwhile, will miss games against the Wests Tigers and the Broncos after entering an early guilty plea to a hip drop tackle against the Titans.

The incident in the 36th minute of the match at Cbus Super Stadium resulted in a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact charge.

The other players charged after Saturday’s games were Manly’s Luke Brooks (Careless High Tackle) and Dragon Blake Lawrie (Contrary Conduct).

Brooks faces a $1000 fine if he pleads guilty early, while Lawrie faces a $1800 fine for pulling Josh Aloiai’s hair.

Meanwhile, Bulldogs forward Kurt Morrin is facing a suspension for his lifting tackle on Cameron Murray, while Latrell Mitchell was also charged following the Good Friday match at Accor Stadium.

Morrin faces a two-game suspension following an early guilty plea for a Grade 2 Dangerous Throw in the 51st minute of the encounter. Should he contest the case and be found guilty by the court, he will miss three games.

Mitchell, meanwhile, has been charged with Dangerous Contact for his tackle on Bulldogs winger Josh Addo-Carr just before halftime.

The Grade 1 offence entails a $1800 punishment with an early guilty plea, which rises to $2500 if he fights the charge and loses.

The third player accused following Friday’s games was Bulldogs fullback Blake Taaffe, who faces a $1000 punishment for Grade 1 Dangerous Contact if he enters an early guilty plea.

Roosters forward Nat Butcher has been charged with Careless High Tackle following his team’s loss to Penrith on Thursday night.

The tackle on Matt Eisenhuth in the 46th minute was classed as a Grade 1 offence, carrying a $1000 punishment with an early guilty plea.
