Rod Moore, a Michigan Wolverines great, suffered a ruptured ACL during spring practice on Sunday.

Rumours began to circulate on social media about Moore’s injury, which was confirmed by Josh Henschke of Rivals. This was a non-contact injury. While I’m not a medical, it appears Moore will miss the entire 2024 season, or at least a significant portion of it.

The two-time All-Big Ten selection recorded five interceptions as a sophomore and two more in his junior season for Michigan football, along with 38 tackles and one tackle for loss. Moore opted to return to the Michigan Wolverines this season rather than enter the draft. He is regarded as one of the best safeties in college football and will be sorely missed, albeit there is some solid depth remaining.

Michigan Wolverines have “mutual interest” in a Big Ten transfer.
Connor Essegian appeared on his path to fame during his first season at Wisconsin. In 2022-23, the Indiana native averaged 11 points per game, made 69 three-pointers, and shot 35 percent from deep in 19 games for the Badgers.

However, the 6-foot-4 guard did not start a game for the Badgers this season. He also averaged only 3.2 points per game, which likely led to Essegian accessing the transfer portal following Wisconsin’s NCAA tournament exit.

According to Davis Moseley, a programme insider, there is “mutual interest” between the incoming Michigan basketball coach and the Essegian. He’d be an excellent fit in May’s guard-heavy system, and he’s proved to be a productive Big Ten player.
