A striking comment from Washington Commanders majority owner Josh Harris left no doubt about his long-term plans for the team.
Josh Harris and his affluent ownership group have already implemented some amazing adjustments. The Washington Commanders were eager for serious investment after being left to decay by reclusive former owner Dan Snyder. It was not going to happen quickly, but the process of re-laying the foundations brick by brick has officially begun.

Harris will receive a $86 million loan from the league to dramatically refurbish what is presently known as Commanders Field. The squad’s practice facility is also being extensively renovated in preparation for the return of organised team activities. This is just the beginning, but it’s a solid move in the right direction.

Of course, changing views throughout the league is the most crucial and significant stumbling barrier. The presence of general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn has prompted veterans to deliberately choose the Commanders. This will all be for naught if the football product does not improve and the facilities do not become industry leaders rather than relics.

Josh Harris wants more for the commanders.

When asked about the yearly NFLPA survey, the majority partner made a telling comment that did not depict the Commanders in a positive way. It was a simple statement. However, it left no doubt about Harris’ intentions for the franchise moving forward.

Actions speak louder than words. Harris understood what he was getting into when his group left with $6.05 billion to free the organisation from Snyder’s control. This will be a long-term strategy, but there is growing confidence that the right men are in power at all levels.
