Highly coveted 2026 QB Dia Bell describes Ohio State as a “incredible programme”
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes extended an offer on a school visit, and he will be a vital player for the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage blue-chipper moving forward.

Fort Lauderdale (Florida) Dia Bell, the American Heritage 2026 quarterback, is visiting some of the country’s premier college football programmes, including Ohio State on Thursday.

The Penn State women’s basketball team failed to achieve their ultimate aim of making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in a decade. However, the Lady Lions experienced a taste of March Madness in the WBIT on Thursday night.

Penn State rallied from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat George Mason, 84-80, in overtime at the Bryce Jordan Centre on Thursday night. The Lady Lions have advanced to the second round of the WBIT, against Belmont.

Penn State received a strong all-around performance from guard Leilani Kapinus (13 points, 15 rebounds), while guard Ashley Owusu led the team with 20 points. Forward Ali Brigham dominated the post and scored 15 points for the Lady Lions, who shot over 50% from the field in the contest.

That enabled Penn State overcome two 24-point performances from George Mason guard Paula Suarez and forward Zahirah Walton, as well as 16 points from Ta’viyanna Habib and 13 from guard Sonia Smith.

Penn State did not start slowly versus George Mason. With 4:49 remaining in the first quarter, the Lady Lions forced a Patriots timeout after a 14-2 surge extended their lead to 19-7. Guard Makenna Marisa hit two 3-pointers off the bench during that time, and guard Shay Ciezki sent a highlight-reel pass down low to Kapinus for an easy layup. In the run-up to the timeout, George Mason missed six of seven field goal attempts.
