Pittsburgh Mason Rudolph, a former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has agreed to a one-year contract to join the Tennessee Titans this offseason. Before starting his eighth NFL season and donning a new helmet for the first time since being selected, he bid farewell to the Pittsburgh organisation and supporters.
Rudolph said goodbye to everyone who has supported him during his time in Pittsburgh, including the Rooney family, his teammates, coaches, and Steelers fans, in an Instagram post. It has been an honour to represent the Pittsburgh Steelers and be a part of the city for the past six years. “To my teammates, coaches, staff, Art Rooney, the Rooney family, Thomas Tull, Larry Paul, and the entire Steelers organisation: I am so grateful that you gave me the chance to wear the Black & Gold six years ago. It changed my life forever.
“To the supporters: it is truly a wonderful place to play because of your love and ardour for the team. I will always remember my final performance in front of Yinz this past December. Best Wishes. MR,” Rudolph penned. Rudolph led the team to the playoffs this past season and appeared to be the franchise’s first quarterback option since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement. Despite a difficult beginning to his career, Rudolph finished as a hero. The team selected him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
