The NCAA football recruiting dead period concluded on Sunday, ushering in a quiet period in which recruits and coaches can only communicate on campus during visits. The Alabama Crimson Tide took advantage of this by starting the week with a few visitors to prepare for the weekend.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer is in the middle of his first spring at the Capstone, and according to Alabama general manager Courtney Morgan, over 70 prospects will attend the Crimson Tide’s third practice and the weekend after.Notably, 5-star cornerback Na’eem Offord from Parker High School in Birmingham showed up unexpectedly at Alabama football practice this past Wednesday. Despite having committed to Ohio State in early February, Offord visited with numerous other recruits.
On3 Sports stated that Micah DeBose, a 5-star offensive lineman from Vigor, was also on campus on Wednesday to see DeBoer’s second session. DeBose had previously committed to Georgia, but reopened his recruitment in December.
