The Saints select Penn State defensive end Chop Robinson in the second round. The Saints also need to address the position of defensive end. With 34 sacks, New Orleans was 28th in the NFL the previous season. Chop Robinson would contribute right away to raising that figure.

Robinson, at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, is a tad small for the Saints’ tastes. The Saints ought to spend more money on quickness at the position, though. At the NFL Combine, Robinson was unstoppable. His 40-yard sprint time of 4.48 ranked him second out of all defensive ends. With a 1.54 10-yard split, he was tied for first among defensive ends. The Saints could really use this beast of an athlete.

Robinson outpaces the opposition offensive lineman with a brilliant first step. His one weakness is his lack of collegiate production, otherwise he is an incredible possibility. Despite playing 303 snaps last season, he only finished with three sacks. He still needs to work on his pass rush moves, but practice will make perfect. He should be able to continue being a top pass rusher for the Saints for many years to come because to his exceptional athleticism and unwavering play.
