The Washington Commanders have several defensive players who will be available for free agency. Kendall Fuller, Kamren Curl, and others will most likely join new teams in the 2024-25 season or must sign a new contract with the Commanders. Fuller is regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the market, with PFF ranking him first. With so many suitors, Brad Spielberger of PFF believes the Las Vegas Raiders may be a viable option.

According to Spielberger, Fuller benefits from the franchise tags placed on Jaylon Johnson and L’Jarius Sneed, who are now the top cornerbacks available this offseason.

“Fuller is the primary benefactor of the franchise tags placed on Jaylon Johnson and L’Jarius Sneed, making him the best cornerback available in free agency. He is aiming for his third contract after playing at least 1,000 snaps in three consecutive seasons and earning a 75.0 coverage grade.

Kendall Fuller is predicted to land a $54 million deal.
Fuller enters the offseason as one of the top free agents on the market, with the potential to be compensated. Fuller earned only $8.5 million as a Washington Commander in 2023. That was a fantastic deal for the Commanders.
“The Cardinals and Raiders both need a bona fide veteran presence in their secondaries, and Fuller’s versatility as a former nickel and safety adds value there.”

The Commanders star previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs, so he is familiar with the AFC West.

As the Las Vegas Raiders and other clubs attempt to sign him, Spotrac anticipates a four-year, $54.5 million contract for Fuller. That deal would value him similarly to Darius Slay, James Bradberry, and Cameron Sutton.

The Raiders have $42 million in cap room, and spending some of it on Fuller could be a sensible move. Marcus Peters wasn’t good enough in 2023, Nate Hobbs suffered injuries, and Jakorian Bennett struggled in his debut year. Bringing in a player of Fuller’s caliber is clearly necessary.

According to Levi Damien of Raiders Wire, Fuller is the Raiders’ primary free-agent safety target.

“The veteran cornerback has averaged roughly 12 pass breakups and three interceptions each full season since 2017. In addition, he had an interception and two pass breakups in the playoffs as the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2019. That’s rather consistent output. The kind that most clubs, including the Raiders, could definitely use.”
