Christian Horner has broken his silence after being cleared of misconduct by Red Bull Racing on Wednesday, claiming that the team has ‘never been stronger’ ahead of Saturday’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Red Bull principal, husband of former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, will keep his £8 million a year position ahead of Saturday’s curtain raiser in Bahrain, after the Formula One team confirmed that their internal inquiry into Horner’s allegations had been dropped.
On February 5, Red Bull opened an investigation into Horner, 50, after he was accused of ‘coercive actions towards a female colleague’.
Horner told Sky Sports on Thursday morning, ‘I’m just glad the process is complete; I can’t comment on it.
‘Our attention is now on the Grand Prix and the upcoming season, as well as defending both of our titles.’

When asked if he thought this was the end of the subject, the Red Bull CEO answered, ‘I can’t offer you any further remark because the procedure has been completed. I’m delighted to be in Bahrain and look forward to the season ahead.
Horner arrived in the Gulf Kingdom on Wednesday to learn that the investigation had been completed. Red Bull GmbH in Salzburg, the world champion team’s parent company, said in a statement: ‘The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed.
‘The complainant has the right to appeal. Red Bull is sure that the inquiry was fair, thorough, and impartial.
‘The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties that assisted in the inquiry, so we will not comment further out of respect for everyone involved. Red Bull will continue to strive for the greatest workplace standards.’
The particular nature of the allegations is unknown.
Horner was questioned by a KC for a full day at a secret location last month while gathering evidence for the Red Bull board’s decision, which he typed up in 150 pages over the last few days.
