Pittsburgh — The Pittsburgh Steelers’ training camp will not begin for many months, but they are already looking to add depth to their linebacker corps.

The Steelers acquired former Baltimore Raven Jeremiah Moon a month ago, but the transaction was postponed until after the Super Bowl. He was legally a free agent, but the Steelers had exclusive rights to him. Moon had the option of sitting out the 2024 season or accepting a one-year contract worth $915,000 with Pittsbugh. Moon preferred the latter option, according to Steelers Now and Steelers Depot.

Moon joined Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in 2022 after an injury-plagued career at Florida. He played in a few preseason games before being assigned to the practice squad.

Moon, who spent his whole rookie season on the practice squad, made his NFL debut in 2023. He appeared in eight games and started one, against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. He recorded 12 tackles, one for loss, and two fumble recoveries.

Moon will join the Steelers for training camp and try to make the club this summer.
