The Alabama athletics department announces the hiring of two important members of the offensive staff.
The official appointment of two assistant football coaches to join head coach Kalen DeBoer’s staff was announced by the Alabama Crimson Tide athletics department on Tuesday.

JaMarcus Shephard has been named associate head coach, co-offensive coordinator, and wide receivers coach, while Nick Sheridan has been formally designated the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

“We are thrilled to have Nick and JaMarcus join us at Alabama. They are both fantastic coaches,” DeBoer stated in a statement. They understand our goals on that side of the football pitch and have expertise with our offence. At every stage of their careers, they have proved themselves to be outstanding instructors and recruiters, bringing a great deal of passion and energy to their work.

Sheridan, a former quarterback for Michigan University, has worked as an assistant coach under DeBoer at Indiana, and Washington, who oversaw the Hoosiers’ offence when DeBoer left for Fresno State, will be in his second stint as an offensive coordinator.

Sheridan remarked, “Joining Coach DeBoer at Alabama is an incredible opportunity.” “I’m excited to collaborate with this offensive staff to create a weekly strategy that will position our squad for victory. I realise the significance of maintaining Alabama’s unrivalled legacy while helping our players progress.

Shephard has a proven track record of developing wide receivers under DeBoer at Washington and Purdue. The former wide receiver in college has witnessed Rome Odunze, the upcoming top overall pick, Rondale Moore, and David Bell.
