Georgia’s Athens The Georgia Bulldogs lose their home-court rematch against the Florida Gators despite leading the entire first half. The Bulldogs, who are currently 14-11 and 4-8 in the conference, are on a 6-game losing run, with this defeat not being their most recent. In the SEC, the Gators are now 18-7 and 8-4.

UGA arrived and unleashed a ferocious first half. With 17:44 remaining in the half, the Bulldogs had completed a 10-4 scoring run following their tip-off victory. With 16:23 remaining, graduate student guard Noah Thomasson led the Bulldogs to a 16-9 lead after scoring 10 points in the opening four minutes. With 13:34 remaining, Georgia carried on its aggressive play to give the Dawgs their largest lead of the game, 11 points. This high was quickly lowered to four

Opening up the second half, UF added to the scoreboard first with a three-pointer from junior guard Walter Clayon Jr.; graduate student center Russel Tchewa responded for the Bulldogs with a jumper to make it a 48-43 game. Florida tied up the score for the first time in the game, 48-48 with 18:40 left, after a brief 5-0 scoring run. Junior guard R.J.
