ST. PAUL, Minnesota — The National Hockey League (NHL) team has recalled forward Adam Beckman from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL), according to a statement made today by Bill Guerin, President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Minnesota Wild.
In 39 games with Iowa this season, 22-year-old Beckman (5/10/01) has 20 points (10-10=20), 18 penalty minutes (PIM), two game-winning goals (GWG), and 93 shots. Among Iowa skaters, he is tied for second place in GWG, third in shots, third in goals, and fifth in points. Over the course of two seasons (2021–2023) with Minnesota, the 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has made 12 career NHL appearances, recording one point and 16 shots.
Over the course of four seasons (2020–24), Beckman has skated in 169 AHL games for Iowa, scoring 95 points (48–47=95), 64 PIM, 10 power play goals (PPG), and four game-winning goals. In the 2022–2023 AHL season, he scored 24 goals, good for second place on Iowa.
In the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft, the Wild picked Beckman with the 75th overall pick. He’s wearing Minnesota on his jumper number 11.
