Although the Atlanta Falcons have a strong base in place, they are in dire need of a quarterback if they are to go past 2024. Although it sounds like general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Raheem Morris want to add a quarterback this offseason, their precise plans are unknown.

Will Atlanta try to make a big splash in the 2024 NFL draft, sign a free agent like Kirk Cousins, or pull off a deal for someone like Justin Fields? The Falcons are trading up for an intriguing quarterback prospect in our new seven-round mock draft before taking care of needs.

There aren’t many better dual-threat quarterbacks than LSU’s Jayden Daniels if you enjoy players with ridiculous touchdown-to-interception ratios. In 2023, the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback dominated the SEC, completing over 72% of his passes for 40 touchdowns and just four interceptions. During the previous season, Daniels gained 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns through ground play. If Atlanta wants the Tigers quarterback, I don’t think they can wait until selection No. 8.

Coleman would be a nice pick in the second round because the Falcons don’t have much depth at wide receiver behind Drake London. Despite having the standard dimensions for an outside receiver, the Florida State product lined up in the slot almost one-third of the time in 2023. For the unbeaten Seminoles, Coleman concluded the season with 50 receptions for 658 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
Dorlus’s strong performance during Senior Bowl week boosted his draft stock. At the end of the 2023 season, the adaptable defensive lineman from Oregon recorded 35 rushes, seven quarterback hits, and four sacks. Pro Football Focus gave Dorlus a real pass-rushing grade of 82.1.
