A permanent reminder of Josh Jacobs’ legacy will be the computer lab he helped build, which opened at the Las Vegas Promise Neighborhood on Friday.

The Raiders running back sees it as more than simply an opportunity to give back to the area he calls home. This is a chance to make a difference and give the hundreds of children who use the computers, workspace, and digital and financial literacy training he and his colleagues are offering a sense of empowerment.

According to Jacobs, “the next generation is the most important generation.” “I think it’s dope that the kids are growing up and seeing it and being influenced by all of these things that we’re doing.”

How long Jacobs will stay with the Raiders is the issue at this point.

Days before the season began, he inked a one-year deal that ends in March. His career as a professional in Las Vegas is far from guaranteed.

Jacobs has expressed his desire to stay with the Raiders. However, there are few assurances in the football business.

In Jacobs’ absence, second-year running back Zamir White performed admirably. Thus, the Raiders must choose between paying their senior player and sticking with White, who is expected to earn $950,000 in 2019. White is younger and less expensive.

Jacobs is pragmatic but also full of hope.

“I have faith in God’s plan,” Jacobs declared. This is obviously where I belong. I will always have a house here and other belongings, no matter how things turn out. I will always own a house.
