Due to injuries sustained by players like Terry Devlin, Joe Morrell, and Tom Mcintyre, who will be sidelined for the duration of the season, League One leaders Portsmouth will have a difficult finish to the campaign.
Although the Rams still have a game in hand, John Mousinho’s team leads Derby County by four points. The pursuing teams, Peterborough, Barnsley, and Bolton Wanderers, will also pose a threat. Charlton’s superstar extends his contract through 2027 while Nathan Jones strives for better
After Michael Appleton was replaced in the dugout, new Charlton manager Nathan Jones is determined to turn the tide at the Valley. Since his brief tenure of 95 days as Southampton’s manager ended in February, the Welshman has been unemployed.
In an effort to move Charlton up the table, Jones has inked a long-term deal. Daniel Kanu, an academy product, now has a contract extension with the club through 2027. He has already started formulating plans for the future of the team.
In addition to scoring four goals in 20 games this season, the 19-year-old’s breakthrough performance has earned him a debut for the Sierra Leone national team. “It’s a dream come true and I’m really excited for the future,” Kanu stated on the team website. It’s been a very lengthy trip for me because I’ve been with this club since under-11s.
“Two years ago, at this exact time, I signed my first professional contract. I am incredibly thankful to the academy and all those who have contributed to my journey to reach this point in my career.”
