On Deadline Day, Taylor—who had shown promise while on loan at Cheltenham—joined the Whites from West Brom and was added to the starting lineup against Barnsley.

“This season at West Brom has been challenging so far,” he continued. I felt like I was in a good situation and had strong shape going into the season, so I had quite high expectations.
“I was still thrilled to be playing in the Championship, but I had expected to be given more of an opportunity. I wasn’t given minutes until December or January.
“However, I believed it was time for me to play in some regular games, and West Brom agreed that it would benefit me.”
Taylor is ideal for Wanderers’ demanding schedule since it allows him to continue honing his skills and become more sharp.
But in his brief career, the centre back has never encountered anything exactly like what happened at Cambridge.
“I was about to enter the game the other week between West Brom and Wolves when it was stopped in the 70th minute,” he recounted.
“Even though we were all in the changing room, we knew we would return in around twenty minutes.
We thought, “If we are going in now, there is no chance the game is going to carry on,” as soon as we arrived at Cambridge. With all the fans travelling down, it was really annoying.
