According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt has recovered from a ruptured adductor.

For the most of the season, Hunt was listed as injured on the Browns’ injury report; nevertheless, Fowler stated that Hunt was able to play with his condition, which “can sideline players for at least six to eight weeks and require immediate surgery.”

Two weeks into the 2023 season, Hunt joined with the Browns following Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 18.

From then on, he participated in all 15 regular-season games and ran for 411 yards on 135 runs (3.0 YPC) and nine touchdowns. The seven-year veteran also added fifteen 84-yard receptions.

The upcoming free agent has spent five of his seven seasons in Cleveland after playing his first two in Kansas City. In his career, Hunt has amassed 6,326 yards and 57 touchdowns. He also scored both of the Browns’ touchdowns in a 45-14 loss to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card round.

Dallas Cowboys fans are still angry about the team’s last trade with the Cleveland Browns. Dallas sent Amari Cooper to Cleveland for a 2022 fifth rounder and a sixth-round pick swap.

Now, whispers are emerging regarding potential moves the Cowboys could make this offseason. Bleacher Report published potential trade proposals for every NFL team. The Browns and Cowboys are partnering once more for a receiver after one trade pitch.

In the trade proposal, Dallas sends Brandin Cooks to Cleveland in exchange for a fifth-round pick (No. 134) in 2024. Fans in Dallas will be incensed at the thought of the Cowboys trading another receiver to the Browns.

In an article titled “Complete NFL Offseason Trade Guide for Every NFL Team,” published on January 29, 2024, Bleacher Report stated that “… Brandin Cooks could be one of their top trade candidates.” “Trading away the veteran would save them $4 million against the cap, and they already paid a small draft fee for him in the previous offseason.

When Deshaun Watson was Cooks’ quarterback in 2020, Cooks did some of his best work while he was in Houston. The Browns are now in a desperate attempt to ensure that Watson lives up to the compensation and trade package they forfeited for him. Reuniting the two should be taken into consideration if it will solve the problem.

The Cowboys would be well advised to hold off on trading Cooks until they acquire another receiver in exchange, as they discovered when they moved Cooper. Since moving to Cleveland, Cooper has nearly reached 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons.
