After spending just one season with the Washington Huskies, head coach Kalen DeBoer’s resignation has left Jabbar Muhammad still listed on the transfer site. Earlier this month, Pete Nakos of On3 Sports tweeted the news: “@On3sports has learned that Washington cornerback Jabbar Muhammad has entered the transfer portal.” This season, the former Oklahoma State transfer recorded 46 total tackles, 5 TFL, and 3 interceptions. This season, I was selected for the Pac 12 second team.”
The Alabama Crimson Tide will need to fill a few holes in their secondary after multiple players left via the transfer portal and the 2024 NFL Draft. Jabbar Muhammad would be able to play in front of a big crowd in the SEC before to the 2024 NFL Draft and reunite with Kalen DeBoer if he joined the Crimson Tide.
In the secondary, the Colorado Buffaloes could use some assistance. Coach Deion Sanders has said that he is more than happy to make use of the transfer site in the interim. An addition such as Jabbar Muhammad might take the Buffaloes defence to a new level.
During the previous season, the Oregon Ducks had two opportunities to watch Jabbar Muhammad in person as a cornerback. Dan Lanning has been using the transfer portal since the beginning and may try to bolster the already impressive class by adding the former conference opponent.
Another programme that has been active on the transfer site and is anticipated to be in the running for the Washington Huskies cornerback position is the Texas Longhorns. Moreover, Jabbar Muhammad is a native of Texas and may choose to take advantage of the chance to go back home.
Jabbar Muhammad may decide to join the Washington Huskies once more. Even if it’s unlikely, Jedd Fisch should keep the cornerback.
Muhammad was a three-star recruit when he first signed with the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 2020 recruiting class. Following a true freshman redshirt, he finished the two-season campaign with 71 total tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, and 12 passes defensed. Muhammad used the transfer portal to sign with the Washington Huskies prior to the 2023 campaign.
In his one and only season with the Huskies, he racked up 46 total tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, three interceptions, one fumble recovery, and 16 passes defended.
