Jason Kelce teases the possibility of RETIREMENT if the Philadelphia Eagles lose NFL playoff clash against the Bucs tomorrow: ‘You step off the curb one day and that could be the end’

Jason Kelce has intimated that he could hang up his cleats if the Philadelphia Eagles fail to get past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL playoffs on Monday night.

At the conclusion of his 13th season with the Eagles, the only team he has ever played for in his illustrious NFL career, is 36-year-old Kelce.

The seasoned centre hopes to win his second Super Bowl in the 2023 season. He and Philadelphia’s sole victory came in 2017 when they defeated the New England Patriots.

Additionally, in the lead-up to their Wild Card Round matchup in Tampa against the Bucs, Kelce has hinted at the prospect of retiring should the Eagles’ postseason finish.

‘Whenever you’re older in your career, you never know when that’s gonna happen,’ he responded when asked whether Monday’s game may be the final of his career, refusing to rule out retirement.

I try to tell guys that I’ve been there, and my dad always told me this when I first started playing football: Your career might end the day you step off the curb.

‘So you try and approach every game with that mindset. However, it goes without saying that coming to that realisation becomes more apparent the closer and older you get.

However, that is obviously not the primary concern. The most important thing is to go out there and fight every guy in this changing room.

“This team currently only has one game left, and that’s what we’re really focused on,” the player said, “no matter how many more years I play or any of us play.”

After losing the Super Bowl to brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs the previous season, Kelce had previously acknowledged that he was thinking about retiring. However, in March, he said on Twitter (now X) that he “ain’t f***ing done yet!”

However, after a span of five months, he expressed his thoughts about his demanding NFL schedule, saying, “It’s a lot, and we’ve justified it as a family by saying this [playing football] is going to be over pretty soon.” We want to be certain that we’re prepared to go after football season ends, should that occur this year, which it very well may.

Since Travis started dating pop sensation Taylor Swift last year, Jason’s life has drastically changed, and both his brother’s and his own degree of celebrity have increased substantially.

Swift reportedly doesn’t get along well with the Eagles player and his wife Kylie, though.
