Astros Announce Dates for Their Spring Training Report and TV Schedule

The Houston Astros’ Spring Training reporting dates and the games that will air on the team’s new broadcast network are now more clear.

The Athletic reports that on February 14—yes, Valentine’s Day—Astros pitchers and catchers will report to West Palm Beach, Florida. The remaining players are have to report on February 19.

The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, which the Astros share with the Washington Nationals, will host the team’s home spring games.

The spring game schedule for the Astros baseball team’s new home, Space City Home Network, was also included in the article. The Houston Rockets and the network are co-owners; both teams acquired the network late in the previous campaign from AT&T SportsNet.There are eleven games that will be televised from Palm Beach: Washington vs. St. Louis on February 24, Miami vs. Washington on February 25, New York Mets vs. Miami on March 5, Washington vs. Detroit on March 9, Philadelphia vs. Washington on March 15, Philadelphia vs. Washington on March 18, Washington vs. St. Louis on March 22, and Washington vs. St. Louis on March 24.

The Astros’ Grapefruit League opener is scheduled for February 24 against Washington.

After the Astros depart camp and head back to Houston on March 26, the last spring telecast will air. On March 26, they take on the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, their Triple-A affiliate, at Minute Maid Park.

The Astros and New York Yankees will play their first home game of the regular season on March 28

After tying for first place in the American League West with the Texas Rangers in 2023, the Astros emerged victorious in the division thanks to a tiebreaker and earned the No. 2 postseason spot. In seven games, the Astros lost the AL Championship Series against the Rangers.
