their 11-game winning run. I don’t think anyone is feeling any better about the Hornets than they did last week, since they followed that up with a stinker. So let’s investigate further.
The last day for a player whose pay was not guaranteed to be waived before it became completely guaranteed was Sunday. Given that the trade deadline is just over a month away, several teams decided to create roster flexibility by waiving players on non-guaranteed contracts. There were no standout players, and many of them could be able to make a comeback to the team that waived them should they clear waivers and prove to be necessary after all.
Though I understand this isn’t a Hornets news site, JT Thor, Ish Smith, and Frank Ntilikina were the three Hornets players to whom this deadline applied. Despite the fact that Ntilikina has played in just zero games in a losing season thus far, they apparently felt it was necessary to keep using a roster space and a guaranteed minimum wage on him.

Dylan Windler is a 6’6′′ wing who was selected primarily because of his outside shooting abilities, in case you’re unfamiliar with him. Although he was a decent rebounder in college, having played for both Belmont and the G League, I doubt anyone ever imagined that he would ever grab 33 rebounds in a game, with 11 of those coming on the offensive glass.
The Lakers waived Alex Fudge in order to provide space for Windler to sign a two-way deal, whatever of the outcome of that performance. He will join the South Bay Lakers after leaving the Westchester Knicks, and he can play in as many as
Draymond Green is now free to play for the Warriors again after serving an indefinite suspension. He’ll likely return to the starting lineup in the upcoming games after ramping up in practice.
