Arsenal has been in the running for the Japanese winger for some time, and their perseverance may finally pay off. In a relatively short period of time, Kaoru Mitoma has drawn the attention of elite teams, with Arsenal and other Premier League heavyweights at the top of the transfer list.

The 21-year-old Japanese winger, who Brighton “claimed to be unavailable” in this transfer window, has been an excellent player for Watford on the left side. Arsenal will only be able to steal him because of his ability to play there.
We can refer to Brighton as being infamously successful in the transfer market, but at what cost? Whatever Brighton has been doing over the past year looks to be a Midas-like choice that ultimately results in gold. Whether it be selling Trossard or anything else.
