Cincinnati — For the third consecutive season, Trey Hendrickson and Ja’Marr Chase were selected to the AFC Pro Bowl team.

“Ja’Marr and Trey both deserve this,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said in a statement. “They are among the best players in this league because of the consistency they bring to the table every day of the year. The fact that they are acknowledged for that is fantastic. I’m thrilled that they received this honour and quite proud of their accomplishments.

The news was released by the NFL on Wednesday evening. In Bengals history, Chase and Hendrickson are the 20th and 21st players to be selected to the Pro Bowl three times, respectively.

For the season, Chase has 96 receptions for 1,197 yards and seven touchdowns. With a career-high 17 sacks this season, Hendrickson is tied with T.J. Watt for the most in the NFL. He has seven games in a row with a sack.

In his first three professional seasons, Chase became the fifth player in Bengals history to be selected to the Pro Bowl. That achievement was also made by Bob Trumpy (1968–1970), Isaac Curtis (1973–75), Cris Collinsworth (1981–83), and AJ Green (2011–2013)
