There is fear behind closed doors because Jalen Hurts is one of the reasons the Philadelphia Eagles have lost the NFC East lead to the Dallas Cowboys, and this loss has been building for a while.

With amazing stats to start the season—he completed 11 games with 2554 yards of passing, 18 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions while taking up 29 sacks—Hurts won MVP accolades from NFL pundits and supporters all throughout the country.

However, the scene has dramatically changed after three weeks. In a major slump that has seen the Eagles lose three consecutive games, he has been sacked four times and given up two interceptions while throwing for a combined total of 638 yards and one touchdown.

Hurts signed a $255 million contract in the summer, but there are already doubts about whether he’s the proper guy to lead Philadelphia to the Super Bowl. Sources close to The Philadelphia Inquirer say there are concerns about his genuineness and capacity to guide the team.

It was believed by insiders that the Eagles were never as excellent as their 10-1 record indicated, that Hurts’ explosive offence shielded a porous defence, but now that the latter has dried up, the defence is exposed and being exploited.

In an attempt to stem the form slump, Nick Sirianni demoted defensive coordinator Sean Desai, which caused concern at NovaCare Field. During the season, he had only played 13 games in the capacity.

But it’s not quite over. The Eagles have three games remaining before they face elimination games because they have already secured a postseason berth. They have two games remaining, against the New York Giants in Weeks 16 and 18, with the Arizona Cardinals in between. Both of those teams have dismal records, so this is a wonderful opportunity for them to resume their winning ways.
