Kimber posted 23 tackles, five passes defended, and one fumble recovery this season. He previously played for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2020 to 2021. However, he played sparingly, registering just three tackles in three games.

The Gators, under head coach Billy Napier, have had difficulty holding onto talent as the regular season draws to an end.
