We’re still covering the NHL regular season, and this time we’re going to focus on the matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the St. Louis Blues. Our specialists have produced the match prediction for these teams.

Tampa Bay, which was a back-to-back champion not too long ago, is currently sitting outside the playoff zone in the 11th spot in the conference due to the NHL’s constantly shifting environment. Even though all of the rivals have played fewer games, the gap from the much sought-after eighth place is just one point.

The Lightning lost their most recent game 2-4 away to Calgary, with a poor second period in which they gave up three straight goals. Tampa’s approach draws a lot of people in since they contribute offensively well but give up like underdogs. Before this game, the team had only lost one member.

Having won half of their thirty games played, St. Louis is now ninth in the Western Conference, one point behind Arizona for eighth place. The Blues won their most recent game 4-3 in overtime against a strong Dallas team, their second straight victory after trailing 0-2 at the half.

The squad prioritises defence above offence as they rarely score more than three goals per game on average. There will be one injured player in the next game.

Just one month separated these rivals when they faced off, with St. Louis winning handily 5-0 at home. Each of the previous five meetings’ sides has given up at least two goals in every game.

Projected
This matchup features two fierce rivals who are both desperate for points in order to qualify for the playoffs. Tampa is the favourite, and we agree; the “Lightning” are definitely motivated to exact revenge for the humiliation they suffered a month ago, and having their home arena is a major plus. In terms of outcomes consistency, neither team has excelled. We recommend betting on the hosts to win handily.
