In just 14 days, No. 1 Michigan and No. 4 Alabama will square off in the Rose Bowl as College Football Playoff Semifinal opponents. The Wolverines are excited for the chance to play. Junior quarterback JJ McCarthy met with the media on Monday to talk about a variety of subjects, including the team’s preparation for Alabama and his impending decision to stay at Michigan for another season.

Coach Harbaugh had a little different schedule than previous years. For me personally, just feel fresh mentally, physically, and spiritually. So it’s been really good so far.

Joy. What a fantastic chance, particularly for the platform we will be performing on. We enjoy difficulties, and this football team is amazing, so it will be a fantastic challenge for us.

Regardless of the opponent—whether it’s UNLV or ECU—we always prepare as though we’re going up against the top team in the nation. Therefore, not much has changed; it’s just become more essential and we’re making sure to pay attention to every tiny detail and uncover every possibility.

You know it’s slightly worse than leading on if you know any athletes. But now that I’m well, I feel healthy as ever. These are the games you preserve your body for, so I’m excited to go all in for this one, so I’m ready to go out there.

It was a very amazing honour. Getting that honour was one of my objectives when I first arrived on school. However, there are currently ten or fifteen persons that I can mention that also merit that honour. As Blake repeatedly stated yesterday, our focus is entirely on team awards rather than individual ones. I’m just incredibly appreciative that my colleagues saw me that way.

I believe that for the past few years, we have become paralysed by our own over-analysis and excessive detail-oriented behaviour. overanalyzing situations. We’ve really just taken things slowly these first several weeks, easing into things, and it’s been kind of fresh every single day.

It all comes down to simply not passing the ball to the opposition team. One of the worst things a quarterback can do is that. Simply maintaining composure under pressure, whether it’s a tipped ball or something else entirely. Simply putting on a fantastic performance in each and every play.

One of your greatest advantages over the competition, in my opinion, is experience. After experiencing an exhilarating game against Georgia the previous year, I spent the majority of it watching from the sidelines. We’ve experienced playing against a top defence with elite athletes, so facing that defence will be crucial coming into this game.
