DEC 15 HANGRY “BOYS” The Dallas Cowboys’ final injury list for their road game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday is almost a mile long, indicating that they have undoubtedly had better days in terms of health.

With a high ankle sprain, defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins is the only player who has been officially ruled out. Many others, like cornerback Stephon Gilmore and receiver Brandin Cooks, who both missed Friday’s practice due to illness, are officially listed as questionable.The Bills are coping with some serious injury concerns of their own in the interim. Safety Micah Hyde and defensive end A.J. Epenesa are out, and Justin Shorter and cornerback Kaiir Elam are listed as questionable.

‘HARD-PRESSED’ DEC 13 Defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins (high ankle sprain), who did not practice today, is not expected to play at Buffalo on Sunday, according to Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy’s repeated statement on Wednesday.

McCarthy stated, “He’ll be hard-pressed to go this week.”

It also means that Mazi Smith, a rookie selected in the first round, will likely see more playing time, and Carl Davis, 31, will probably be called up to the practice squad.

DEC 12 CONNOR OUT Connor Williams, the starting center for the Miami Dolphins and a former first-team left guard for Dallas, tore his ACL during the team’s Monday night loss to the Titans and will miss the entire season.

Since signing with the Dolphins as a free agent in 2022, Williams has started 26 games at center. He has been a standout player for a Miami team that is expected to contend for the Super Bowl and will host the Cowboys in two weeks.

This week’s game against Buffalo will see the 10-3 Cowboys, who lead the NFC East, take the lead. The Dolphins, who are 9-4 and leading the AFC East, take on the Jets.
