The Ohio State football team will be preparing for the 2024 season and the 12-team playoff after the Cotton Bowl on December 29. Now that Kyle McCord has accessed the transfer portal, let’s examine all of Ryan Day and company’s options at Quarterback.
Brown, who will be a junior next year, already faced competition from McCord for the starting position this past season. Despite his occasional flashes of star power, he was never good enough to start. Given that he played in five games this season, he does have more experience than any other quarterback on the roster.
Next season, Kienholz will be a true sophomore and is already well-liked by the supporters. His claim to be the best athlete in South Dakota history is well-known, and he may get the opportunity to demonstrate it in the Cotton Bowl the following season or even earlier. Even though he might not have as much experience as Devin Brown, he could still be a good choice, particularly if Missouri gives him an opportunity.
Next season, Noland will be a freshman. During his high school career, he threw for 126 touchdowns, demonstrating his enormous arm. Noland is ranked 25th overall in the 2024 class and is regarded as a 5-star prospect. Noland could be the greatest choice for the Buckeyes if they wish to start over.

Considering our options, I believe that removing Cam Ward from the portal would be the best course of action. Ward is a fun player to watch and most closely resembles Justin Fields/CJ Stroud. He can make plays with his legs and his cannon of an arm.
