The Green Bay Packers have won their last three games and are currently riding high. The fact that they accomplished it without Jaire Alexander, one of their best players, makes it even more amazing. He had been dealing with injuries to his back and shoulder, about which the team has been wary. But according to ESPN Milwaukee’s Gary Ellerson, a local radio host, Alexander’s actions suggest that the standout cornerback no longer wants to play for the team.

Jaire Alexander may not want to be in Green Bay anymore, in my opinion. To me, that’s how it feels. Proceed now. I want the guys who are interested in playing here to do so.”

Ellerson discussed his belief that Alexander wishes to leave Green Bay during the show.

“Jaire Alexander may not want to be in Green Bay anymore, in my opinion. That is how it seems to me. Proceed now. I want the guys who are interested in playing here to do so.

Following a press conference in the locker room where Alexander engaged in his customary shenanigans, this occurred. Still, nothing seemed abnormal for the elite cornerback. Alexander was dressed in a lot of colors, as is customary for him. He was upbeat about the team and the progress of his recovery. Ellerson says that his actions are a clear indication that he wants to move on. The radio host continues, urging the Packers to let him go and continue using Corey Ballentine and Carrington Vallentine.

Before I fully believe this, I’m going to need more evidence than just my gut. Alexander’s press conference wasn’t that strange, in my opinion. Watch any of the past few years’ press conferences or interviews with Alexander. He is obviously in support of the team because during his press conference, he told the media that they would be the ones setting the agenda. While I doubt Brian Gutekunst is actively trying to move their best corner, he should always be open to offers. The Packers want to ensure that Alexander is healthy for the long run, not just for week 14, despite the terrible injuries.
