Tyler Buchner, the quarterback for Alabama football, made headlines when he entered the transfer portal for a different sport, and it appears that he has found a new home. Inside Lacrosse reports that Buchner plans to return to Notre Dame, where he played lacrosse before, but this time as a player.

It is said that Buchner will remain with the Crimson Tide until the end of the season before moving on. For 61 yards, he has completed eight passes so far in the 2023 campaign.

Buchner attended Notre Dame to play quarterback before deciding to transfer ahead of the 2023 season to Alabama. From South Bend, he followed offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to Tuscaloosa.

In the offseason, he faced competition from Ty Simpson and Jalen Milroe for the starting position. In Alabama’s Week 3 match at South Florida, Buchner got the start.

Prior to moving to Alabama in advance of the 2023 season, Buchner played quarterback for Notre Dame. From South Bend to Tuscaloosa, he trailed offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.

He faced competition from Ty Simpson and Jalen Milroe for the starting position during the offseason. Alabama’s Week 3 matchup at South Florida was led by Buchner.

In high school, Buchner excelled at lacrosse and reportedly committed to play for Michigan before deciding to concentrate on football. If he kept playing football after a transfer, he would probably have to sit out a year, but he can start playing lacrosse right away.
