BEREA, Ohio — Dorian Thompson Although Robinson is still under the concussion protocol, he resumed practice on Wednesday and is still eligible to play against the Jaguars on Sunday.

However, on Wednesday, Kevin Stefanski wasn’t prepared to declare Joe Flacco his starting quarterback, despite his continued limitations. He stated that he wants to wait and watch how the week unfolds as the protocol is followed.

He didn’t say it, of course, but it can’t hurt to keep the Jaguars guessing for at least one more day. They will thus need to get ready for two distinct quarterbacking schemes: the traditional dropback quarterback, Joe Flacco, and the dual-threat quarterback, Thompson-Robinson.

Though starting Flacco seems obvious, Thompson-Robinson has improved enough that Stefanski will at least consider going back to his previous starter.

Stefanski remarked, “He’s working very hard to improve.” “He’s progressed well.”

During Sunday’s 36-19 loss to the Rams, Flacco made his first start for the Browns and completed 23 of 44 254 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, good for a 75.4 rating. But the interception came at a price. With 6:32 remaining in the game, former Browns safety John Johnson III picked him off and returned the ball 42 yards to the Browns’ 24.

L.A. led 27-19 when Matt Stafford found Cooper Kupp for a 3-yard touchdown pass, requiring the play of five players. In the final 1:56, they scored twice more on a 1-yard touchdown run by Kyren Williams and a safety from a sack in the end zone.

Other Browns injury updates:

* Denzel Ward resumed practice following his two-game absence due to a shoulder injury.

* On Wednesday, receiver Amari Cooper did not play because he is still under the concussion protocol.
