Lachlan Croker, an accomplished hooker, has extended his contract with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles by an additional two years.
Croker joined the Sea Eagles in 2018 and has since played 104 games for Manly.
Croker’s new contract will keep him at Manly until the end of 2026, after he is released in 2024.
With Manly’s ‘Best and Fairest’ Award last year, Croker enjoyed another successful season in 2023; the extension is a fitting reward.
Anthony Seibold, the coach of the Sea Eagles, commended Croker for his exceptional work ethic.
Over the past two seasons, Lachlan has been among our most reliable players. Being able to keep him on for an additional two years is fantastic for us, Seibold remarked.
He’s been a great team player for our club for over a century. ‘Crokes’ is something you know exactly what you are getting.
The 26-year-old, a former half, has demonstrated a genuine desire to hone his skill and establish himself as a legitimate number nine.
Croker led Manly’s defense once more this season, totaling 858 tackles from 23 games.
“Lachlan’s demeanor both on and off the field makes him an incredible representative of our club.” The prospect of extending his contract excites us much.
Away from the field, Croker is pursuing dual degrees in Sport and Exercise Science and Criminology and Criminal Justice. He represents the club in education as well.
