Sunday’s game saw the Steelers fall hard to the unlucky Cardinals, while Arizona triumphed wet 24–10 in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh’s offense never seemed to click, even though the game included unanticipated events like two weather delays and an ankle injury sustained by Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett. For the third straight game, the Steelers managed just one touchdown.

Running back Jaylen Warren of the Steelers was asked after the game if the team thought the Cardinals, who had only two wins going into the game as opposed to Pittsburgh’s seven, were a stronger opponent.

Warren stated, “I guess just taking them lightly, lighter than we should have,” as reported by Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now. At Acrisure Stadium on Thursday night, the 7- 5 Steelers take on the 2-10 Patriots, another losing team. Warren is hoping that Pittsburgh players can come together for that game and achieve a different outcome. “Just acknowledging what it was, why we came in like that,” said Warren. “After losing to a team like that, I’m assuming nobody enjoys this feeling. Each of us needs to come to an agreement and begin working.

Coach Mike Tomlin probably wants more from his team now that he’s referred to the Steelers’ performance on Sunday as “jV football.”
