The Phoenix Suns, along with Devin Booker, will be in town tonight, and the Raptor is gearing up to welcome his friend back. After playing in Brooklyn last night, the Toronto Raptors will play again on the second night of a back-to-back. Although the Phoenix Suns are also riding a seven-game winning streak, Toronto, which is currently 8-10 on the season, could use a victory.
The Suns are targeting a championship run after acquiring Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets in a trade last season. They currently hold the fourth position in the Western Conference with a record of 11-6. The Raptors, on the other hand, are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference and dropped their game in Brooklyn last night despite leading at several.
While their defense has been holding up reasonably well, most people’s complaints have been about their offense. The offense has been fairly erratic so far this season, whether it’s due to low free throw shooting, bad three-point shooting, or just a general lack of team cohesion on the court at times.
Even though the Raptors are experiencing a lot of positive things (Scottie Barnes’ growth, Flynn’s strong play, Anunoby’s outstanding play), it can be difficult to recognize these positive things when the team is losing close games.
Kevin Durant, who was earlier listed as questionable on the injury report, will play for the Suns tonight.
