“Mike Tomlin’s hiring as offensive coordinator will determine a lot of Pittsburgh’s offensive identity.” However, Fields may be able to realize his full potential if he plays behind a stronger offensive line than the one he had in Chicago, one that features punishing running backs Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris in addition to George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth to throw to.
Some Steelers fans are excited about this kind of idea. Although Fields has also had difficulty making the significant progress that was anticipated of him this season, his explosive playmaking ability is undeniable.
