As mentioned, Penn State is qualified for the Fiesta, Cotton, and Peach bowls—three of the New Year’s Six bowls. The Lions might potentially participate in the Citrus Bowl, but that would need Ole Miss and Oklahoma to be ranked higher in the end by the selection committee. which is quite unlikely to occur.

The game will determine Penn State’s bowl destination. In one projection, Penn State is slated to play Georgia, the former top seed that fell to Alabama in the SEC title game. which took place at the Peach Bowl stadium in Atlanta. Georgia has also participated in the last three Peach Bowl games, including the semifinal matchup between Michigan and Georgia in 2022. The Penn State-Georgia game could be selected by the CFP selection committee, but Georgia would play at the Cotton Bowl instead of home.
