Joshua Pryor | Washington Commanders 53-man roster. Due to a hamstring injury, starter James Smith-Williams has missed the previous two games and is unable to play in tomorrow’s home game against the Miami Dolphins.

Injuries to JSW and Efe Obada have forced the Commanders to start Casey Toohill, with rookies KJ Henry and Andre Jones receiving more playing time. The Commanders traded starting DEs Chase Young and Montez Sweat at the deadline. Additionally, two weeks ago, the Commanders signed Jalen Harris from the Bears practice squad.

FB/TE Alex Armah, who has been out of commission for the past two weeks due to a hamstring injury, is expected to return tomorrow. For the previous two weeks, Washington had been promoting its practice squad running backs, Derrick Gore and Jonathan Williams, but they weren’t needed this week.

Because of an elbow injury he sustained against the New York Giants, rookie wide receiver Emmanuel Forbes will miss his second game. Last week, Washington went with a different running back rather than promoting any defensive backs. Sean Chandler, Joshua Kalu, and Nick Whiteside are their three practice squad defensive backs; however, they decided not to start any of them for the Dolphins game.
