Higgins suffered a hamstring injury during practice prior to Week 10 that has kept him out of the last three games. Naturally, a lot has happened to the Bengals since then, as Joe Burrow lost his season due to a ruptured ligament in his right wrist on November 16.

Higgins has been the missing component of a trio of wide receivers that Burrow has utilized to become one of the NFL’s most effective passers, along with veteran Tyler Boyd and Ja’Marr Chase. It will be interesting to watch how Browning employs those weapons against Jacksonville.

Browning completed 73% of his passes (19 of 26) for 227 yards in his first NFL start last week, but the Bengals only managed to score 10 points in a low-scoring game against Pittsburgh. In the 16-10 loss, the 27-year-old had one touchdown and one interception.

Higgins’s presence could aid Browning’s cause. Most opposing cornerbacks find it difficult to match up with the 6-foot-4 wide receiver, especially when they have to cover him in the slot. Higgins has 27 receptions for 327 yards and two touchdowns in seven games this season.
