According to a recent update from Aaron Wilson, wide receiver Tom Kennedy visited the Detroit Lions on Tuesday. Kennedy has played with the Lions for portions of three seasons, including a seven-game stint in 2022, so he is

familiar with the organization. He had eight receptions for 141 yards that season, making an impression.

Kennedy suffered an injury early in training camp that ended his time with the Lions earlier this offseason, and he was placed on injured reserve. Kennedy eventually had his injuries settled, and he was waived. Despite not being signed at the time, he also paid the Lions a visit in late October.

Tom Kennedy, a wide receiver, recently visited the Detroit Lions, which makes a reunion possible. Kennedy’s return could be a calculated move by the Lions to strengthen their receiving depth given his prior success and good relationship with the group. It remains to be seen if Kennedy will rejoin the team for a second time after this visit.
