The Browns are still plagued by injuries, as their starting quarterback, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, sustained an injury during Sunday’s game against the Broncos. Yet, they had problems on both sides of the ball, so it wasn’t the only element in their 29–12 loss to Denver on Sunday.Takeaways 11.26

The Broncos ran for 169 net yards, and the Browns defense found it difficult to stop them. The Broncos recovered three of the five fumbles made by the Browns offense, giving them another opportunity to score.

didn’t play to our game plan,” head coach Kevin Stefanski remarked after the defeat. Simply put, didn’t play tidy. Five times we punted the ball around and were penalized. We were obviously disappointed with the outcome, but we must take the lesson from it and play and coach much better the following week. We didn’t stop the run as we had hoped.”

Let’s examine three lessons learned from Sunday’s 29–12 defeat.

This season, the Browns have already had to deal with a fair share of injuries, and on Sunday, they had to deal with even more. After Thompson-Robinson mishandled a pass in the third quarter, LB Baron Browning tackled him. He left the field by himself, made his way to the medical tent, and eventually, towel slung over his head, made his way to the locker room. With four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, he was officially declared out of the game and was to be evaluated for a head injury.

According to Stefanski, Thompson-Robinson was hit late in the third quarter and suffered a concussion.

“He] took a shot there unfortunately, and you never want to see a quarterback get hit like that, but he battled,” Stefanski stated.

In the fourth quarter, WR Amari Cooper left the game after taking a hit as well. He did not return to the game after suffering a rib injury. Cooper’s ribs showed no abnormalities on the x-ray, according to Stefanski. Jordan Elliott, a defensive tackle, also has an ankle injury.

They continued after that. After the game, DE Myles Garrett’s left arm was in a sling, and he reported having injured his left shoulder. He didn’t know precisely when it occurred in the game, but he remembered feeling “a pop” in his shoulder as he attempted to snatch off the block.”I’m not going to come out unless it’s falling off,” Garrett said. “It’s already falling off. I want to win just as much as the rest of these guys want to win. I see the determination on their faces every time we go out there, and I’m not here to let them down. I’m going to give it every ounce of effort that I got. I don’t care how I’m feeling.”
